With an entirely new product to introduce to the market – a device that measures both heat and concussive impact within a sports helmet – Black & White was asked to develop a name and create a visual brand that communicated the essence of this novel offering. BlueChip, a reference to premier high school athletes, captured the spirit of the brand by fusing that sense of quality with athletics and the technical aspect of the product through the term “chip”. The visual brand helped supplement the technological advancement the device provided for safety-concerned parents who could rest easier knowing their children’s health was being monitored remotely.
